A Magic Love Recipe.

Zzzzziiiiiip…CRASH!…and then the shattering sound of glass as Deidre hurls Al’s Playstation 3 from the 2nd story apartment window…followed by a shrill and sobbing “GET OUT!…GET OUT!…GET OooooUT!”
See,IT WAS THE LAST STRAW! Even though Al loved Deidre with all his heart…he had lied so often… had ignored Deidre so much that she just reached her boiling point that hot, muggy summer afternoon.
And Al did get out. Deidre was serious. She had had enough of Al’s ways. See, Al was a good guy…a great guy even…he cared deeply and loved Deidre…and Deidre knew it too…but that wasn’t her problem. She was sick of feeling unappreciated…and Al just didn’t know what would make her happy anymore. He didn’t know how to wipe the slate clean…or start over…

Japan..

The image was among 20 "unforgettable" pictures of the aftermath chosen by National Geographic editors, which became one of Nat Geo News's ten most viewed galleries of the year.
The Japan earthquake and tsunami also led to a crisis at the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant, which leaked radioactive material into the surrounding region. The accident is now regarded as the largest nuclear disaster since the Chernobyl incident in 1986.

Houses burn amid flood waters on March 11 after a magnitude 8.9 earthquakeoff the coast of Japan triggered a powerful tsunami.
The earthquake—the strongest in Japan in 140 years—struck 81 miles (130 kilometers) off the coast of Sendai at 2:46 p.m. local time, the Los Angeles Times reported (Japan map). A port city of about a million residents, Sendai was hit by tsunami waves up to 33 feet (10 meters) high.

Eye Of The Beholder.

Pigeons are odd birds. Common all over the world, especially in cities, they can be considered tourist attractions like in Venice's St. Marks Square, or considered a nuisance to city dwellers (myself included) who see them as flying rats. Still, any large flight of birds can make for a spectacular photo, such as today's Photo of the Day from JaipurRajasthan inIndia. The added pops of color from the building tiles, piles of spices, and ladies' saris make a nice contrast to the grey birds, and the movement of the many wings puts you right in the action, though you might be happy to be viewing them from a distance.

It has snowed the whole day at Grand Canyon, causing us to be confined to the Grand Canyon North Rim Lodge. Finally, during the late afternoon, the clouds broke a little, and the snow finally stopped. We jumped into the car and drove out to Point Royal. As I walk towards the view point, the weather was beginning to turn south again, and I saw a group of photographers take cover and shouting at each other to run back to the car.

I got setup on the edge as the overlook was clearing out. Finally, it was just me left. It began to hail as I was setting up, and the wind was really strong, which was a good thing. I was betting that the wind would clear a hole in the clouds. Not long after I got setup, the scene unfolded in front of me. It was amazing! The light streaks lasted all but 1 minute, but it was enough for me to take a few pictures. This is probably one of the most dramatic pictures I've taken.

Rainy San Francisco is the City by the Bay at its most atmospheric. When San Francisco becomes fully waterlogged and gray it lodges itself most deeply in wistful sentiment. This image, taken by Flickr user Cosmic Smudge on Jones Street in Nob Hill, is made all the more dreamily nostalgic thanks to the ghostly impression left by the Transamerica Pyramid in the background.

When you were a kid, there's a fair chance you spent some time running amok, arms outstretched, and making airplane sounds. Airplane enthusiast and proud papa Branden Williams captured just such a moment of his kids' "airplane arms" with a 1960 Cessna single-engine plane. The black-and-white makes it feel timeless, and takes us back to a time when we didn't scowl about children on planes, but dreamed of flying one as a child.
